About Mammoth Poke & Ramen

Colorful, health-conscious cafe serving poke bowls, with a build-your-own and Ramen.

Located at 53 E Lake St, Chicago, IL 60601, Mammoth Poke & Ramen operates as a poke bowl serving Chicago in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Chicago, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 AM–9 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (312) 564-4242. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is mammothpoke.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 459 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded poke bowls in Chicago.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This place was such a wonderful find! Great poke bowls with a wide selection of bases, toppings and sauces! The employees are very chill and have a positive attitude which adds to the overall vibe of the place. They also have a great ramen selection.

The poke bowls are noticeably fresh. The tuna and salmon have a clean finish, and the topping selection is expansive--everything from crisp cucumbers and edamame to tobiko and spicy mayo. The portions live up to the "Mammoth" name; they don't skimp on the protein, and the base-to-protein ratio is spot on. Service is quick and efficient, making it ideal for either a fast lunch or a relaxed dinner. Clean seating area, helpful staff behind the counter, and fair pricing for the quality and volume of food served. Easily a top choice when you can't decide between sushi-grade fish and a steaming bowl of noodles.

Great ratio of price, quantity, and quality. Food is satisfying, portions are generous, and flavors hit well without trying too hard. One of the few places where you do not face a ridiculous 20 minute line just to order. Easy, efficient, and genuinely enjoyable. A solid go to when you want good food without the usual chaos. Staff girls were cute ❀️

I went there twice during my Chicago trip and tried their ramen (flavourful soup on a cold day - priceless!) and poke bowl (bigger than usual, value for money). Would recommend!
